NordPlant

Welcome to the NordPlant kick-off 24-25 October!

In the beginning of 2018 NordPlant was formed as a Nordic University Hub by five Nordic universities: Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Helsinki, University of Copenhagen, University of Tromsø and Lund University with the help of funding by NordForsk.  Please register here to participate.

The changing climate is a global challenge and new plant breeding and protection efforts are urgently needed. Novel methods in plant phenotyping and climate facilities which is the core of NordPlant will be central to better understand plant stress responses and to develop advanced and precise methods for rapid screening of plants to identify high-performing ones suitable for the future climate scenarios.

NordPlant wants to stimulate knowledge-exchange by seminars, site-visits and joint education for PhDs, post docs and researchers to advance reseach and technological developments to meet future challenges in agriculture and forestry in the Nordic countries.

NordPlant will address a number of topics, for example plant pathogens in new Nordic climate conditions, retained biomass production in climate change, forestry in automated phenotyping, microscopy and plant cell phenomics, modelling including remote sensing and ecosystem modeling as well as field phenotyping.
