Automated phenotyping for wheat and sugar beet breeding within SLU Grogrund

Aakash Chawade (of NordPlant and SLU) will lead a new project, funded by SLU Grogrund. The aim is to develop innovative and robust automated plant phenotyping methods for evaluation of economically important agronomic traits of crops important to Sweden’s agriculture. The automated phenotyping methods will be developed with wheat and sugar beet as a model, in close collaboration with Lantmännen Lantbruk and MariboHilleshög.
